Plastic T Section - Made to Order or from Stock

Tubeway manufacture and stock plastic T Section for use in the shopfitting, exhibition and construction industries. There are 2 basic designs:

T Barb - the stem is barbed in order to knock in to a groove or grip between two boards. Generally the top or cap is domed, to give bumper protection for the board edge.
T Straight - the stem and cap are straight, making it suitable for inserting in board joints as a trim, or to mask gaps (for Aluminium Straight T Section click here).

Our flexible plastic T Section is designed to protect curved wallboard edges and is popular for mobile home, caravan and ice cream van conversions.

We can supply plastic T Section in these ways:

• from our stock range, as below,
• from a production run of 500m+ with a stock T section tool,
• from a production run using a plastic T Section tool listed further down,
• from a new tool, cut to the shape and size you need.

Production Plastic T Section

Small straightforward T Section requirements can often be satisfied from stock. However, for larger quantities and non-standard sizes, a production run is possible to save money, allow the plastic T Section to be cut to lengths of your choice, and be made from one of our many standard colours or a colour match.

T Section, with all the variances in design, is often used for joint filling, as a bumper strip or general edge protection. A barbed stem is suitable for knocking in to a cut groove, with either a rigid or flexible profile, as an ideal bump strip, and a straight stem allows bonding or fixing when covering a joint. Please note that Tubeway's plastic T Section tooling is generally suitable for production with either rigid or flexible PVC, to suit your requirement.
