Tubeway - A Brief History

Tubeway (Sales) Ltd was established in 1957 by father and son combination Alec and John Duncan, to supply extruded PVC curtain rails into the building industry. “Tubeway” was the name of this system, the first commercially available in the UK, and the forerunner of modern curtain hanging systems.

After a few years. the company extended the range of plastic extrusions produced to include angles and channels, and then into secondary glazing products, which were the first to be marketed under the “Easyfix” tradename. Since then, the Easyfix DIY range has continued to expand and is now available throughout the country in small and large retail outlets. Click through for more Easyfix DIY information.

Meanwhile, the Duncan family have continued to widen the range of plastic extrusions stocked and made to order. Now in the hands of 3rd & 4th generation family members, the company remains in the Ipswich area and is proud to have continuous customer relationships of 50 years+. The family atmosphere within the company extends to all other employees as well, leading to a stable and very experienced workforce. At time of writing each person within Tubeway has an average of just over 20 years experience in the plastic extrusion industry, spread across Management and Support, Sales, Production and Technical teams, and all at the disposal of our customers!

At Tubeway we remain constantly aware that our success can only be based on continuing to satisfy our customer’s expectations. Please contact us to discuss your Plastic Extrusion requirements.
